Hey there! My name is Ari Catherine and I’m a co-founder of Purple Haze Magazine! I come from a large family, most of which are musically inclined one way or another. I play bass guitar and dabble in all sorts of percussion instruments. I have 8+ pets, one being my very own pup. I started photography at shows in 2021 and have never looked back. taking still moments of life living is something I love to do, the emotion is so raw that you can feel it even through the photo. I grew up on older rock, so my fav artists are going to have to be Metallica, Greta Van Fleet, The Beatles, and Queen!

Hey there! I'm Sam, and am based in lowa City, lowa. I've been into photography since I was 14, but my love for music and concerts goes way back. I recently decided to combine both passions and got into concert photography. I absolutely adore capturing the raw energy of live music.

Music has always been the one fool proof thing that keeps me grounded and allows me to see the beauty in the world through all the chaos. It is a dream come true to meld this passion in with storytelling and collaborating here at Purple Haze (and elsewhere) while I study to work in entertainment management/press. Hi, I’m Jaye! I’ve been surrounded by music my whole life and I’ve always had a huge love for it. I play bass guitar, mandolin, violin and you can find me singing along wherever I go. I’ve always been a huge concert junkie and in 2022 I started photographing shows, I’ve been in love with it ever since. I love capturing the energy and electricity of a live show. Outside of that you can find me taking pictures at the skating rink or hanging out with friends. Some of my favorite artists are The Wombats, Hippo Campus, Big Time Rush, The Academic, lovelytheband and Ax and the Hatchetmen.

Hello, I’m Emily! I’m based in Atlanta, Georgia, and I’m a journalist. Being able to dissect and analyze things and put my thoughts into words, brings me a sense of being and understanding.
